On Thursday 27th and Friday 28th March we took part in Conisborough College’s virtual work experience programme organised for year 10 students. Over the course of the two days we delivered two careers presentations, gave some tips on presenting and communication, and set the students a task to design their own sustainable home in small groups.
The project involved setting the students the task to create a home that is inclusive and accessible for everyone, thinking about areas such as energy, water, materials and green space around their building. We encouraged them to be innovative with their ideas, and they could create their home as a drawing, using materials around them, or designing it using an online tool.
The students had some very inventive ideas and we were impressed by their creativity and enthusiasm for the task.
